All About the Crafty Fox, Brighouse
We love beer… actually, that’s not quite correct. We love GREAT beer. Who decides that you ask, well we hope you join us to decide for yourself… because it is, of course, subjective.
Our obsession with craft beer began a few years ago when a couple of friends introduced us to this new, exciting ever-expanding range of fantastic tasting beers, as well as these cool, funky bars that were simple in their approach with upturned beer barrels for seats or Pinterest-Esque pallet furniture. We just fell in love and began our craft beer journey which has taken us to this point at the beginning of our Crafty Fox journey.
With eight rotating keg beers and four rotating cask beers, we are sure to have something that you will enjoy.
We have a well-stocked bottle shop for you to buy take-out beers or just pop in on the way home from work to pick up a selection of delicious beers that you can’t get at the supermarket. We will soon be offering beer delivery for when you can’t bring yourself to join us.
We welcome you to share in our vision for the future of beer.
The Crafty Fox Team!
Meet the Crafty Fox Team
Baz
Owner
Many customers comment to say that Baz looks like he was born to be behind that bar. Which is a little strange as he's only been in the pub game a little over a year. Before that, he had a corporate purchasing career spanning 25 years, which simply made him sad. A change in circumstances made him assess his options and he decided that life is too short to do something that doesn't make him happy. Craft beer is a passion and a specialist subject. He and Michelle started to plan their future. After a reasonable amount of 'testing' and visiting micropubs (for 'research' purposes, obviously!), the vision for 'The Crafty Fox' was born (name thanks to a fellow beer lover and father-in-law PH). In his spare time, Baz loves sport, testing beer eating excellent food, and spending time with Michelle, his kids, and Teddy, the dog.
Michelle
Owner
Michelle spends her time doing various things, including running her own lead generation business to help clients get the best out of their online presence. She is responsible for all things marketing at the Crafty Fox. Michelle is also passionate about craft beer, also having experienced one or two pubs over the years... including a misspent youth growing up in Halifax and later a gigging musician, playing acoustic guitar and singing covers ranging from the 90s onwards. You might have seen her singing once or twice at the Crafty Fox or mispronouncing words while running the quiz on a Wednesday. In Michelle's spare time, she loves family time, music, cooking, sitting in the sunshine, and reading a book - not that that ever happens these days!
Georgia
Team Member
Well, what can we say about Georgia! The place simply wouldn't run without her. Always with a smile on her face, she knows exactly what everyone drinks. Georgia has been working in hospitality since leaving school, successfully managing a busy restaurant in Holmfirth. Although they were sad to lose her, Georgia couldn't wait to work with her Dad building the family business. Georgia loves riding her horse, going to the gym, looking after her dogs: Jack and Skipper, and sleeping.
Kaye
Team Member
Yet another Veasey! Kaye brightens up our Friday and Saturday evening, ensuring everyone remains well-hydrated. Kaye spent many years behind a bar or two, having previously owned her own pubs. Kaye also works as a teaching assistant in a junior school and helps keep everything sparkly clean at the bar and home. Kaye loves going on holiday and spending time with her two daughters and beautiful granddaughter, Eliza Blue.
Teddy
Team Member
This is probably the position you will see him in after you have been here for a while. But when you first arrive, he will likely greet you, like you are his best friend. He literally loves everyone and would like it if everyone was his mate. He can do tricks, and he likes snacks if you have any... please? Teddy's favourite things are: tennis balls, other teddies (which he will nurture for a while, before ripping their eyes out), other dogs, sniffing and running around like a lunatic.
